Shunter Driver - Royal Mail (superhub) Crick

Hourly rate £13-£14ph

Monday – Friday Days (weekend overtime available)

We are recruiting for permanent Class 1 HGV Shunter Drivers to work for our client site in Coventry and Northampton. As a Shunter driver you will be involved in shunting trailers, Loading trailers with ballast blocks, assisting with Brake and load tests out of bays always ensuring the safe and legal operation of your equipment.

The role will involve:

• Yard shunting
• Forklift and pallet truck use in loading ballast on trailers
• Conduct vehicle checks and ensure all equipment is safe and legal condition.
• Assistance with small trailer repairs
• Ensure all compliance details are completed in an accurate and timely manner
• Ensure all company vehicles are driven and always operated in accordance with road traffic law and company policy
• Provide a high customer service always level & demonstrate company values
• Highlight all potential business commercial opportunities to managers
• The role will involve flexible working between 06.00 – 18.00, including weekends.

Experience required:

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license with relevant CPC and Digi Tacho Card.
• A minimum of two years HGV1 experience.
• Experience in shunting or similar roles.
• Forklift licence
• Strong knowledge of site safety regulations.
