Senior Manager - ALM & Financial Risk

WHATS THE ROLE?
Reporting directly to our Treasurer and collaborating closely with senior leaders and the wider Treasury team, your primary focus will be on developing and enhancing our financial risk management frameworks. This includes the creation and management of the Group's Financial Risk Appetite Statements and the development of financial risk policies, encompassing risk appetites and operating standards.
This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of shaping our financial risk environment, defining risk appetite, and driving initiatives to strengthen our approach to financial risk management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Play a central role in ALCO operations, collaborating with internal stakeholders to manage financial risk effectively.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and debt facilities, providing valuable insights to support decision-making.
- Analyse macro-economic events and emerging market trends, with a focus on ESG initiatives and capital market developments.
- Stress-test securitisation structures to inform funding strategies and planning.
- Oversee treasury-related costs, budgets, and figures in the annual report.
- Develop and deliver a monthly Treasury Pack, reporting on key Treasury and Funding risks.
- Monitor and report on covenants and limits across funding structures, ensuring compliance.
- Enhance operational processes to maintain excellent treasury management practices.
- Educate and train teams and senior leaders on treasury management, regulatory compliance, and strategy.
- Support ad-hoc data and reporting requests related to funding facilities.

WHAT YOU CAN OFFER
We're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with the ability to help mature processes and practices. You will have:
- Proven experience in developing and embedding risk management frameworks, including defining risk appetites and addressing financial risks
- Strong knowledge of Treasury practices and structured finance instruments
- Advanced Excel skills and adaptability to bespoke IT platforms
- A meticulous approach with a focus on accuracy and control
- Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills

- Salary up to £78,000 (depends on experience) & Annual bonus
