New Business Sales Director

Are you a proven new business leader within the Leasing/Fleet Management sector, with a track record of delivering year on year growth? We are looking for an exceptional people leader to join us as New Business Sales Director with accountability for new business growth and driving profitability through successful tenders and contract negotiation.

Our Corporate division provides company cars and salary sacrifice schemes for many of the UK's leading companies; and supports our Consumer teams with FCA regulated sales & renewals activity for PCH & BCH customers.  With nearly 54,000 vehicles on the road, the majority of which are Zenith funded, we offer customers a full range of services from fleet management to in-life ops, accident management and customer support.

We pride ourselves on delivering a bespoke offering to our customers that sees us retain customers over multiple contract cycles and deliver organic growth through acquiring new business.

Our New Business Sales team are accountable for identifying and delivering new business growth for our company car, light commercial vehicles, salary sacrifice and daily rental; through to onboarding new customers ensuring a smooth transition to our Customer Relationship Team.

What you'll be doing

  • Reporting directly to the CEO of the Corporate & Consumer Divisions, you will sit as a member of the Corporate & Consumer Divisions' senior leadership team.
  • Own  New Business & Customer Onboarding for company car & salary sacrifice channels, with accountability for growth and driving profitability through successful tenders and contract negotation.
  •  Leading a team of c. 16 FTE including all aspects of functional design, operational training, development, and colleague experience.
  • Develop and deliver the new business sales strategy, key relationships, systems, process, people experience and objectives, ensuring continued growth to deliver the expected contribution to Divisional performance.
  • Support the Zenith Group vision to decarbonise the UK vehicle parc by supporting customers to transition to EV's where possible.
  • Perform research & analysis to create a strategic mapping of short-, mid- and long-term opportunities, ensuring a healthy sales pipeline with a consistent flow of opportunities.
  • Establish & Maintain strategic relationships with potential corporate customers at C- suite level.
  • Collaborate with and influence Zenith functions to sponsor new business sales & customer onboarding across the Group – e.g. profitability, service issues, technology performance, investment requests. 
  • Identification and management of all associated risks – operational, commercial, people, systems, process etc.
  • Ensure that the new business team sells on service & quality 
  • Creation and evolution of the appropriate performance measures to track delivery against strategic objectives, identify risks and enable actions / decisions to ensure that the divisional plan / budget is delivered.

What you'll bring

  • Proven senior leadership experience within a leasing or fleet management environment.
  • Proven senior leadership experience within a B2B customer environment; leading B2B sales teams, developing a sales pipeline and delivering a successful sales conversation / negotiation.
  • Experience of owning and delivering a sales performance
  • Experience of leading a B2B sales and implementation function.
  • Experience of building and developing a functional strategy and proposition – scanning external trends to inform thinking
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience of pricing, commercial modelling.
  • Ability to interpret data, creating and developing reports, proposals, investment cases, presentations etc.
  • Innovative approach to problem solving and identifying opportunities
  • Exceptional people leadership capability with a high challenge, high support approach
  • Understands the value of relationships with key stakeholders based on high levels of collaboration, honesty and trust.
  • Ability to think broadly and work collaboratively.
