Motor Engineer

Our Corporate Operations department offers a comprehensive ‘in-life service' to our internal and external customers. Our span covers Vehicle Purchase, In-Life administration, Technical Services and Accident Management.
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Motor Engineer (VDA) to join our Accident Management Team. In this vital role, you'll be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, authorising repairs, and ensuring accurate estimates are completed in line with industry standards and customer expectations.
You'll be joining a small, supportive & collaborative team of experienced motor engineers; who are detailed oriented & quality focused, and committed to delivering a great service for our customers. The team are based out of Kirkstall Forge office, but typically work from home 3-4 days a week.
What you'll be doing
- Accurately assessing vehicle damage (cars & vans) and produce repair estimates using Audatex and other industry tools
- Liaise with repairers, customers, insurers, and internal teams to authorise repairs and ensure cost-effective solutions
- Monitor repair progress, ensuring compliance with manufacturer and safety standards
- Conduct desktop audits and challenge repair costs where appropriate
- Deliver exceptional service to our customers and partners, maintaining our reputation for quality and care
What you'll bring
- A current membership of IAEA / IMI / IRTE / ATA /VDA is essential
- Experience working within accident repair or vehicle assessment environments
- Strong working knowledge of Audatex
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Great customer service skills, authentic & engaging
- Enjoys working in a high-growth environment and is highly adaptable to change
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build strong working relationships
- A proactive mindset with the ability to problem solve when dealing with challenges & issues
- Calm & resilient and comfortable working in a fast-paced and able to deliver quality work even when dealing with high volumes.

- £38,000 + company bonus
