Quality Engineer

We are currently looking for a Software Quality Engineer to join our Transformation function. This role is focused on ensuring the quality of our applications, the efficient use of technology and automation/Non Functional Testing softwares to better enforce quality across our applications, reducing defects, and supporting successful delivery outcomes by applying robust and pragmatic testing practices throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
You will be part of a new and very exciting tech squad being established to operate in a strong Agile environment and aligned to best practice. Working across multiple squads, you will collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, InfoSec, and operations colleagues, contributing to a modern quality engineering approach that supports sustainable delivery and continuous improvement.
What's the Role
- Drive a quality-first approach across the delivery lifecycle to reduce risk and improve product stability.
- Design and implement shift-left testing solutions to enable early and effective quality checks.
- Develop and embed automation as a core part of how squads manage quality.
- Provide technical testing solutions aligned to project needs and business challenges.
- Collaborate with development and platform teams to ensure quality practices align with squad ways of working.
- Mentor and support testers through coaching, training, and knowledge sharing.
- Identify, assess, and manage quality risks, ensuring visibility and mitigation.
What Can You Offer
- Extensive experience across multiple testing levels, including automation and non-functional testing.
- Strong experience working in Agile or squad-based delivery environments.
- Proven ability to design and implement test automation and API testing solutions.
- Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and defect management skills.
- Experience with test planning, estimation, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of development languages such as Java, JavaScript, SQL, or C#.
- A collaborative mindset with the confidence to take ownership and drive improvement.
